ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of SFC Marconi C. Lopez, United States Army, graciously invited the Patriot Guard to escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line during Military Honors. He was 80 years old when he passed from this earth.SFC Lopes honorably served over 20 years in the United States Army and retired on 31 May 1979. His many military decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal 2/OLC, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal 3/OLC, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Staff Service Medal First Class, Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Service Bar (6). The Patriot Guard will meet SFC Lopez, family, and friends at Olive Baptist Church, Warrington Campus, 103 W. Winthrop Ave, Pensacola, Fl at 12:45 PM.

Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be worn while riding aboard the base.
