The family of Maj. Gordon W. Allen has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. Maj. Allen served his Country in the U.S. Army and performed duties as a Commander.
Maj. Allen served from 1961 to 1968 in active duty, and then transferred to the reserves where he retired as Major in 1984. His duties included serving as Platoon Commander of the 14th Armored Cavalry, Company Commander at Ft. Knox and Troop Commander of the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam.
Upon his completion of military service, Maj. Allen received an Honorable Discharge and awarded a Parachute Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/ V Device, Bronze Star Medal and an Overseas Bar.
Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and join us as we stand in silent Honor and Respect for our U.S. Army Vietnam Hero and his family.
