ABOUT THE MISSION:

DRIVE BY 95th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! At the invitation of Mr. Cato’s family, we’re asking you to please show your love and respect by participating in this event for a Greatest Generation Hero. Lucian Cato was born May 3, 1925 in Heber Springs Arkansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 at the age of 17. During WWII he was a 1st Class Motor Mechanic (MOMM1C) assigned to LCI(G)-441 (Landing Craft Infantry (Gunboat), including the Battle of Okinawa (April 1, 1945 (Easter) – June 22 1945). It would be the last major Battle of WWII and by all accounts the bloodiest. The U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet lost 36 ships, 368 were damaged, 4900 men were killed, 4800 wounded, and 763 aircraft were lost. Mr. Cato served his entire enlistment of 3 years, 4 months, and ten days without taking any leave time! He was Honorably Discharged from the Navy on his 21st birthday, then five days later married the love of his life in Heber Springs, Arkansas! Mr. Cato retired after a lengthy government career at White Sands Missile Range.

Due to the present COVID – 19 situation family members are unable to attend his 95th birthday party. Please observe all CDC/State/Local guidelines including social distancing, masks and gloves are at you’re discretion.
Note: Big Flag Bikes Encouraged.
STAGING ORDER: Arkansas Patriot Guard Riders Inc. will be in front, followed by all other Motorcycles including Trikes, Hot Rods, Antique/Classic/Muscle Cars, and Military/Specialty Vehicles. All other vehicles are welcome to participate.
KSU: 1:53 PM to Brookdale Senior Living, 1160 Hogan Lane, Conway Arkansas 72034. (Arriving at 2:00 PM)
Brookdale is on the right just past the Post Office. Use the first entrance after the Glenwood Plaza sign, it will be marked by one of my riders holding a Flag. Mr. Cato will either be outside or just inside the main entry door. Please do not stop or exit your vehicle in the parking lot, just slowly pass by wishing him a Happy 95th Birthday, then exit the parking lot. Keep in mind he will see you even though you may not see him. Brookdale is in lockdown so DO NOT attempt to enter this facility or make physical contact with Mr. Cato.
