The family of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Lee Douthitt has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand a flag line and escort him to his final resting place at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Colonel Douthitt was an Infantry Officer, Tactical Intelligence Officer and an Aviation Officer during his career. He served over 19 years.
Some of the awards and medals he received are: Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Unit Citation, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Assault Badge, Army Aviation Badge, Sharpshooter (.38 pistol), Overseas Service Bars (2), Vietnam Air Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
His service will be at Leavenworth Baptist Church, Leavenworth, Kansas at 0930 hrs. Following the service will be an escort to Leavenworth National Cemetery.

0830 hrs. (8:30 am) – Stage at Leavenworth Baptist Church, 803 S. Broadway, Leavenworth, KS.
0845 hrs. (8:45 am) – Man Flag Line
0930 hrs. (9:30 am) – Service Begins
