It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that American has lost another True American Hero.
The family of LTC Thomas A. Ford, Jr. (Ret) has requested the Patriot Guard to stand a Silent Flag Line for their loved one. Mr. Ford passed away on 26 June 2016, at the age of 82.
He served in the U.S. Army as a transportation office where he commanded 5 different units in Germany during the Cold War. He also served at Eglin, Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis then back to Germany. After Germany, he had a tour of duty in Vietnam. His awards and commendations are unknown at this time.
After the Army he returned to Mobile and was very active in various Mobile organizations. Past President & 35+ year member of Friendly Sons of St Patrick, Float Captain for Order of Inca for 30+ years, Member of Fifty Funny Fellows, American Legion Post 3, VFW Post 49, Mobile Jaycees, Maryland Jaycees, and many more.
The Patriot Guard Riders will be honored to stand a SILENT FLAG LINE for this True Patriot and Hero.

There will be a LEO from Radney to St Joan of Arc Catholic Church and to Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral Service: 1300 hrs. – St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church – 1260 Elmira St., Mobile, AL.
Upon completion of the funeral service we will escort Mr. Christen, family and friends to
Catholic Cemetery, 1700 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Mobile, AL, for Interment.
