LTC Ray E. Williams (RET), Army, Rydal/Canton, GA, 9 MAY 16
I must report that we have lost another true American HERO. The family of Army veteran RAY E. Williams has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their HERO and stand a silent flag line and also escort him to his final place of rest at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. It will be our pleasure and honor to do so.
LTC Ray Williams enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956 and spent 31 years in the Army and the Army Reserve. He then spent the next 18 years in the Aerospace industry. During this time, he also served the community for forty years as a Boy Scout, Eagle Scout, and Scout leader.
Overview : This will be a one-day two-stage mission. We will stand a flag line at the PineLog Methodist Church then escort to Georgia National Cemetery where we will have flag line for the interment. The interment time is scheduled for 1300 HRS (1 pm)
Stage One: Assemble at 5/9/2016 at 9:00 am

Rydal, GA where we will have a visitation flag line from 9:30-10:00 HRS. At this time, we will line up for the LEO assisted escort to Georgia National Cemetery with flags flying.
Stage Two: Approximately 1130 HRS we will have KSU to escort to

Canton, GA 30144, stopping at the PIC building and then moving to the assigned shelter.
If going directly to Georgia National Cemetery please arrive there NLT 12:15 HRS at the PIC building where we will stage then move to the assigned shelter for the 1:00 pm interment.
