SUMMARY:LTC James L. Bentley\, 88. USA(Ret)\, Korea
DESCRIPTION:The family of LTC James L. Bentley has requested our presence at their  Hero’s service and military honors.  We will be honored to  attend. \nLTC Bentley served his country while in the U.S. Army from 1951-1970.   During his career\, he served in Occupied Germany\, the Korean Conflict and  Vietnam.  He earned numerous medals including the Korean\, Vietnam and  Occupation (Germany) Service medals.  He also was awarded the Army Flight  Badge\, numerous Commendations\, the Vietnamese Campaign Medal\, the Legion of  Merit and a Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged and retired in 1970. \nAfter the Lt. Colonel’s military service he worked in the insurance  industry.  His hobbies included a love of the water\, golf and flying  airplanes.  \n\nHe is survived by his wife of 66 years\, Margaret (Marge)\, a brother\, a son and his spouse\, 3 grand-children and 5 great  grand-children. A daughter preceded him in death. \nWhile serving in Vietnam he was exposed to Agent Orange which led to  several systemic illnesses and cancer resulting in his death.   \nThis is a Combat Related Death.  Dog tags will be  available. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in  honoring this Military Veteran. Please see the time table if you would like to  participate. \nThe weather is expected to be hot.  Start hydrating the day  before the mission. Dress for motorcycle  riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free  to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive  safely.
