Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been requested to stand for Douglas Earl McDonald, age 75. Douglas joined the U.S. Air Force at age 19. He was in the U.S. Army Reserve for the majority of his years served in the military. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 32 years. During his career he held many positions, his favorite being a tank commander in the deserts of California. For those 10 years, he trained many reservists and loved his tanks. During his final years, he taught at the 6229th Reserve School at Ft. Vancouver. He treasured the close relationships with his fellow soldiers and civilians in the 6229th.Please join us as we help support his family, pay our respects, and honor his service to our nation.
