This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Riders mission to honor Louis Gene Cooper, 86, U.S. Army WW II veteran, of Buffalo, Texas.
His service was with the US Army Medical Corps, serving during WWII in England, France, Belgium, and Germany.
Mr. Cooper received the Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon, 3 Battle Stars. He landed on the beaches of Normandy on “D” day and was later wounded at Huertgen Forrest, when a mine blew up as he was carrying a wounded solider to safety.
His family has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders attend his services. The mission is a ‘go’ and all contacts have been made.
Services: 2 PM, Wednesday, January 12th, at the Buffalo Funeral Home, 249 Humphreys St., Buffalo, TX 75831
Staging: Buffalo Funeral Home at 12 noon, with the riders meeting at 12:45 and the Flag line in place by 1 PM. Instructions regarding movement to the cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain. All new members are requested to sign a PGR Release of Liability prior to Flag line. Please remain flexible as to the requirements of the mission (SEMPER GUMBY).

Weather Report: High temp 40. It should be a very cold day to ride. Please dress appropriately. We will need the help, so please come in the cage if necessary.
Flag truck with water & snacks, will be there.
ALL GROUPS, CLUBS, INDEPENDENTS, ETC. ARE WELCOME. The only prerequisite is RESPECT. Also remember, you do not have to ride a motorcycle to join in. The flag line is open to all who wish to participate.
