ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard will escort SGT Boyd to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line in his honor. Mr. Boyd was born 8 Dec. 1951 and passed from this earth on 25 April 2021 at the age of 69. SGT Boyd honorably served in the United States Army for 18 years. SGT Boyd’s awards and decorations include: The Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5), NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (2), Overseas Service Bars (3), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, with Palm.

Continued Covid 19 precautions will be observed Mask are mandatory from arrival at staging area until completion of mission mask may be removed while riding. Maintain 20 ft between family and 6 ft distance between riders.
Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts or jackets, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles, and proper eye protection. This attire will be worn at all times while riding on board the base.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
