Hero Walters married his high school sweetheart\, Verma June Jones who survives him as well as a brother\, three sisters and numerous nephews\, nieces\, cousins\, many neighbors and friends. Hero Walters worked for several soft drink bottling companies after his service as well as the Caterpillar Tractor Co. of Joliet\, IL\, retiring with 30 years of service. He was an avid antique car collector and loved to travel and camp.
