ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Leonard E. Nagel has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to escort and stand for their Vietnam Hero and it will be our honor to do so. MSG Nagel served our country in the US Army for over twenty-six years with over nine years of foreign service, including tours in Vietnam during the Tet Counter Offensive in phases III through VII. He was last assigned to the US Special Operations Command. He stood many years for us and it is now our turn to stand for him.

Special Instructions:

This will be an escort to the Georgia National Cemetery with entrance and service at the cemetery. This will be our first entry as a PGR group into the GNC. Please bring a mask. You are required to wear it at all appropriate times inside the GNC, i.e. PIC building and shelters.Park bikes on the right side of the funeral home to prepare for the escort. Park cages in the left parking lot. After our briefing, we will present honors as our Hero is carried to the hearse, and then mount up to escort with KSU at approximately 12 noon for the 1:00 PM service at GNC.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

Special Instructions:

If not riding in the escort, meet at the GNC POW/MIA flagpole along the right side of the street. Bikes park on the sidewalk by the flagpole. Cages park along the side of the street going up the hill toward the flagpole. Make sure to leave enough room for traffic to flow. Beware, as there may still be construction on either side of the hilltop.
Please bring a mask. You are required to wear it at all appropriate times inside the GNC, i.e. PIC building and shelters. We will establish a socially distanced flag line with masks on at the shelter for the service. Only a small gathering of family are allowed inside the shelter.
