We have been requested to stand in Honor of another World War II Veteran. Leonard A. Lewis passed away in Wellsville on June 1st at the age of 90.
Summarizing from his Obituary: In addition to serving in the U.S. Navy as a Ship Signalman aboard the USS Albemarle from 1943-1945, Mr. Lewis was also a proud PGR member (rode a white trike), American Legion/American Legion Riders and VFW member, and a Volunteer Firefighter.
For his U.S. Navy WW-II Service, Mr. Lewis was awarded: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and the WW-II Victory Medal.
Note: PGR Region-1 Member Skip Merrick is very close friends with the Lewis family.
