ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders will honor, (Bishop) Master Gunnery Sergeant Lee Ward who passed on
October 20th, 2020 at the age of ninety-eight . MGySgt Ward proudly served our nation in the U.S. Marine Corps for 26 1/2 years and during that time MGySgt Ward served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
On June 27, 2012, (Bishop) MGySgt Ward traveled to Washington D.C. to receive the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian award a person can receive, for being one of the first African American Marines, (known as the Montford Point Marines) and for his contribution to history and our society.
