ABOUT THE MISSION:

1LT Lee BeGole served in WWII in the Army in the Mediterranean, North Africa and in Italy in the 290 Infantry Replacement Company stationed near Rome. After returning to the states he joined the Wayne County Sheriffs Patrol in 1952. He went on to serve in the Novi Police Department in 1954. He was Novi’s first police chief one for 37 years. Finished his career as the chief of police of Green Oak Township in Livingston County until he retired at the age of 85. Lee spent a lifetime of serving his country overseas and at home.
