DESCRIPTION:LCDR Donald E. Eversoll\, 55\nUSN (Ret)\, GWOT\nSpring Valley/San Diego\, CA\n23 AUG 16\n\n\n\nThe family of LCDR Donald E. Eversoll\, USN (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor him for his service to our country. It would be our honor to do so. \nLCDR Donald E. Eversoll joined the United States Navy January 22\, 1980 and served until his retirement\, January 22\, 2010. During his thirty years of service\, Donald served aboard many ships including the USS Midway while it was in Japan. He also served with VS-41\, HSL-47 both out of NAS North Island\, and with the Seabees in Port Hueneume. Donald’s final tour was with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group ONE which he was deployed with in Iraq\, participating in the Global War On Terror.  \nLCDR Eversoll’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Awards)\, the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards)\, the Navy & Marine Cops Achievement Medal (7 awards) along with many campaign & service related medals & ribbons.\n.\nDonald loved riding his Harley\, beach camping\, surfing\, fishing\, and was passionate about sports. He loved to barbecue and spend quality time with his family. Donald had an enormous heart and loved making people laugh. \nDonald leaves behind his spouse and two sons. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested\, and all are welcome\, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
