    Lawrence W. Callard, US Army
    18 June 2018

Seven Patriot Guard came today to pay honor and respect to Lawrence W Callard, age 90. Lawrence served in the US Army from 29 October 1945 to 2 May 1947 in Co D 1st Tank Battalion 1st Armored Division. He earned the Army of Occupation Medal with Germany clasp, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army Lapel Button.

Following our usual briefing, one rider was dispatched to escort Mr. Callard, family and friends to Shelter II at Willamette National Cemetery. Upon completion of full military honors, I presented Mr Callard’s daughter with the PGR commemorative coin. Memories were shared; and Mr Callard’s remains were removed to be with brothers and sisters who came to Mt Scott before him.

May you rest in peace. We are all thankful for your service to the nation and to your countrymen.

    Respectfully Submitted
