ABOUT THE MISSION:
SP5, Lawrence Clinton Parks is a United States Army Veteran. Larry was inducted on Oct. 3, 1965. He served 3 years as a Personnel Specialist, including 1 year, 9 months and 10 days in Vietnam. Larry’s last duty assignment was with Headquarters Company, 7th Special Forces-Airborne, 1st Special Forces, Continental Army Command. On May 10, 1967, having attained the rank of SP5, E5, Larry was released from active duty and transferred to the United States Army Reserve, Continental Group, Reinforcement, United States Army Air Corp. On Oct. 3, 1968, having completed his term of service, Larry was honorably discharged. Larry was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Vietnam Jump Wings, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Good Conduct Medal.
