Heidler\, 64\nUS Army Vietnam Veteran\nRiverside/RNC\n14 July 2016\n\n\n\nPer request of our good friend Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services) the family of Larry Neal Heidler has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so. \nLarry joined the U.S. Army proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War Era from February 1971 to December 1972. Larry received citation/awards that included the National Defense Service Medal\, Parachute Badge and Expert Badge (M-16). Larry was honorable discharged as a SP4. \nAfter his honorable discharge as a SP4 from the Army\, Larry worked as a test mechanic in the aerospace industry for thirty plus years. \nLarry is survived by his wife Bonnie\, four children\, several grandchildren and two brothers. \nHis family says that Larry and his wife had ridden many times with the PGR before he sold his Harley seven to ten years back. \nLarry was a hang gliding enthusiast and was tragically killed on 29 June 2016 during a hang gliding accident at Crestline. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested\, and all are welcome\, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
