AFTER ACTION REPORT:
Monday, 22 February 2021 was a beautiful day with a slight wind. The PGR staged and posted flags across the front of Traditions Funeral Home. A briefing was held giving details of today’s mission. The briefing was closed with a moment of silence in remembrance of all Blue, Gold, Silver Star Mothers and all hero’s involved during this time of unrest in our great nation, followed by a prayer. The front door was manned and a flag line was formed across the front of the funeral home greeting family and friends upon their arrival to honor this hero. At the conclusion of the service, the Army National Guard Honor Team entered the chapel. Taps were played, the flag was folded and presented to SFC Larry L Prescott’s wife. The PGR entered the chapel, thanked the family, read the PGR plaque and Invocation Letter which were then presented to SFC Prescott’s wife and two sons. A Final Salute was presented to SFC Prescott honoring his service to this country, this was participated in by all in attendance. The PGR exited the chapel and formed an honor line as SFC Larry L Prescott was moved from the chapel into the coach for a private interment. PGR were dismissed, flags were retrieved and prepared for the next mission.
Thank you to the Prescott family for inviting the PGR to be a part of this Hero’s service. Thank you to the PGR riders that took the time to “Stand and Honor” this proud American Hero.
“Rest in Peace” SFC Larry L. Prescott, USA/ARNG Vietnam Veteran (Retired), your mission is complete, you are gone, but your service to this Great Nation will never be forgotten.
Respectfully submitted:
Mike “Penni” Pennington
