ABOUT THE MISSION:
A Navy Veteran has fallen and the Patriot Guard has been asked to honor him for his service. HM1 Larry Gibson Fureigh served 5 years 11 months 24 days, with served 5 years 1 mo. 16 days of overseas service. His awards were the National Defense Service Medal and First Good Conduct Medal. He was in the medical field and also become a Pharmacy Tech Class C. During his Navy service the love for scuba diving grew during various assignments. After his service he moved to Kwajalein, an island in the Pacific Ocean where he worked as a med tech. Most of his free time was spent on a dive boat, diving to explore sunken war ships and spear fishing. Larry is survived by one brother and one sister, several cousins, and many friends across the United States. It will be an honor to stand in respect for this hero that served.
