Larry D Mills, 54
First Responder(AD)
Marine, IL
17 Sept 16

The family of First Responder Larry Mills has requested that the Patriot Guard provide an escort for their loved one on his final call to duty.

Larry served as an EMT with the Marine Volunteer Fire Dept for 12 years. Larry learned to fly (gliders, helicopters, single and twin engine aircraft) from a young age and at one time was contracted by the US Army and Air Force to train their pilots. His father was in the Air Force and their family moved around the country, according to military assignments. Larry was currently working for the Cal-Ore Life Flight company in northern California, flying ambulatory patients between California and Oregon, when he was tragically killed in a plane crash while transporting a patient. He was also loved to ride his motorcycle. Cremation rights were accorded and his cremains will be buried at the Mundis Cemetery, a few miles outside of Marine on Grant Fork/Pocahontas Rd.
