Hero Lanny died peacefully in his sleep on Veteran’s Day after a long illness.  He served as a Lance Corporal with the 9th Marine Division in Vietnam\, which was instrumental in Operation Dewey Canyon. \nHis honors include National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device\, Rifle Marksmanship Badge\, Vietnam Service Medal \, Combat Action Ribbon\, and Presidential Unit Citation Award.\n\nServices will take place at Friskel Funeral Home\, 230 E.
