The family of Lanny A. Roedel has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders man a flag line before the funeral and escort him to his final resting place in Fort Scott, Kansas on 14 Nov 2014. Hero Lanny died peacefully in his sleep on Veteran’s Day after a long illness. He served as a Lance Corporal with the 9th Marine Division in Vietnam, which was instrumental in Operation Dewey Canyon.
His honors include National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, Vietnam Service Medal , Combat Action Ribbon, and Presidential Unit Citation Award.
Services will take place at Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay, Frontenac, KS at 10:30 am with escort to Ft. Scott National Cemetery.

0900 hrs. (9:00 am) – Stage and set flags at Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay, Frontenac, KS
0915 hrs. (9:15 am) – Man flag line before visitation
1035 hrs. (10:35 am) – Ride Briefing
