SFC Harvey served as a radar acquisition crew member\, and indirect fire infantry man\, a Retention NCO\, and recruiter for many of his 22 years of active duty. His military awards included the Meritorious Service Medal\, the Outstanding Voluntary Service Medal\, Army Achievement Medal (4)\, Army Superior Unit award\, National Defense Medal (2)\, Army Commendation Medal (6)\, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal\, and NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3).
