Kenneth Wayne Horn, Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:

SN Kenneth Wayne Horn, 83, of Vilonia, departed Dec. 10th, 2020. Kenneth Enlisted in the US Army, Nov 1959 as a Clerk Typist obtaining the rank of Specialist.  Medals awarded:  Sharpshooter (rifle), Sharpshooter (carbine), Certificate of Achievement, Good Conduct Medal and Letter of Appreciation. Honorably Discharged Feb 1962.  Mr. Horn later joined the US Navy, May 1963 serving on the USS Currituck (AV-7) with 11 months, 10 days of sea duty.  Mr. Horn attained the rank of Seaman and retired Sep 1964.
“Mr. Horn Soldiered for Washington, sailored for Nevada, and wept for Arkansas.”
He was a loyal volunteer at the Vilonia Military Museum.  Kenneth is survived by two daughters, one sister, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
