Elizabeth City, North Carolina – 10-24-19 MULTI-STATE
ABOUT THE MISSION:
Patriots, it is time we come together and stand as Family for one that stood for us. Cpl Kenneth George Althaus III, USMC, Vietnam, passed on from this earth alone and without family. We have been asked to stand as his family and escort him to his final resting place. Ken served with Marine Recon in Vietnam in 1971-72. He came from a long distinguished family of Military leaders, His father was a full Colonel in WWII and his Grandfather was a General in WWII and also served in WWI. Cpl Althaus worked in Respiratory Care at a local hospital prior to developing agent orange related cancer which destroyed the lifestyle he had enjoyed and made him destitute. The Camden County DSS has granted the NCPGR permission to escort him to the Veteran’s Cemetery and have him laid to rest with his Brothers in Arms.
