ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Savannah Police Sergeant Kelvin Ansari has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in his honor and escort him to his final resting place. It is our privilege to do so.
Sgt. Ansari served our country for twenty-one years with the U.S. Army. Sgt. Ansari then went to serve the community of Savannah as a Police Officer, rising to the rank as Sergeant. Sgt. Ansari was a ten year veteran with the agency. During the evening of May 11, 2019, Sgt. Ansari and his fellow Officers encountered a subject that had just committed an Armed Robbery. A gunfight ensued and Sgt. Ansari and another Officer suffered gunshot wounds. Sgt. Ansari succumbed to his injuries.
Sgt. Ansari was married with four children, ages five to twenty-five.Please join us in honoring this hero

Special Instructions:
Will need a few volunteers to be at the church before 0730 to assist with setting up a static flag-line.
We will stand a flag-line from during visitation until the start of the funeral at 11 am. After the service, we will assist with the escort of this hero to his final resting place. During the graveside service at Bonaventure Cemeterywe will stand a flag-line.
ESCORT: Riders/Riding groups are REQUIRED to be present at safety briefing @ 08:15 am to participate in the escort due to the large number of participants expected No Exceptions
