Keith attained the rank of SGT (E-5) while serving with the 25th Inf Div in Vietnam and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB)\, National Defense Service Medal (NDSM)\, Vietnam Service Medal (VSM) and the Vietnam Campaign Medal (VCM).
