Mr. Brignac joined the US Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in 1942 and was a Lieutenant Commander when discharged in 1946. LCDR Brignac was a Gunnery Officer on the USS Paul Hamilton (DD-590) and participated in several major battles in the Pacific including the assault on Iwo Jima.

The family of Mr. Julian Brignac, Sr. has asked the PGR to stand in honor of their loved one. We will stand a flag line at the church until the service begins at 1000 hours. We will proceed the family to his final resting place at Greenwood Cemetery (120 City Park Avenue). The cemetery is 1/2 mile from the church.
