ABOUT THE MISSION:
Joshua Galindo was a United States Air Force veteran. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1969.Joshua’s MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) was 8111 Security and Law Enforcement Staff Officer. In 1962 Joshua was promoted to Captain (03). While in service he received additional training in Security and Law Enforcement Staff Officer, Police Administration Institute, Academic Instructor Orientation. Joshua served 3 years, 4 months, 20 days of overseas duty including Vietnam. Captain Joshua Galindo last duty station was with the 410 Security Police Squadron (SAC), K I Sawyer Air Force base Michigan. After over 11 years of service Captain Galindo was honorably discharged in Febuary1969.While in the service of his country Joshua earned the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award w/3 bronze oak leaf clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/4 bronze oak leaf clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 bronze service star. It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

Special Notes: Following CDC/Government guidelines/mandates and directives from our State Captain, the following precautions are to be followed:· All members are required to wear a face mask/cloth covering at all times during the mission. If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you stand down and stay home. There are no exceptions.· No handshakes, elbow bumps or hugs for greetings and goodbyes.· If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve.· If you have medical condition(s) that make you at high risk we ask that you please stand down until conditions improve.· Maintain a minimum of six-foot distance from other members when standing the flag line. Maintain at least 15 feet separation from all family members, cemetery personnel, Honor Guard, funeral home staff, clergy, etc.· Wash your hands before, during (as practical), and after the mission.· Water will be provided by the flag support person and passed out only by that person. No snacks will be provided by flag support and members should not bring any to share either.
