Costello\, MD\nUS Air Force Veteran\nMonday\, 12 September 2016\n\n\n\nThe Patriot Guard Riders are honored to be requested by the family of Colonel Joseph William Costello\, MD\, a USAF Veteran\, to escort him and his family and friends to his final resting place.  Colonel Costello died 2 September 2016\, after an extended illness. \nDr. Joseph W. Costello was born in New Rochelle\, NY and was graduate of Cornell Medical School.  He was a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Surgeons.  After a year of active Duty as a Medical Officer in the USAF\, Dr. Costello was associated with Providence Hospital for over thirty years\, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor\, Dept. of OB/GYN at Georgetown University Hospital.  He is survived by his wife\, Nora Dougherty Costello and a large and loving family who will miss him. \nChurch services will be held at\nSt. John the Baptist Catholic Church\n12319 New Hampshire Avenue\nSilver Spring\, MD. \nInterment will be in\nGate of Heaven Cemetery\n13801 Georgia Avenue\nSilver Spring\, MD. \nWe will render honors at each location. \nService:  12 September 2016 \n0930 Hrs. Stage at St. John the Baptist Church\, 12319 New Hampshire Ave.\, Silver Spring\, MD. \n0945 Hrs. Brief \n1000 Hrs. Render Honors via Flag Line as mourners arrive at Church\, and again via hand salute as casket is transferred to hearse. \n1200 Hrs. (Time Approximate) KSU\, Escort Colonel Costello to his final resting place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. \nBring large 3X5 flag for flag line Honors.\nBring something cold to drink to stay hydrated.
