ABOUT THE MISSION:
Mr. Shaffer stood for our country as a veteran in Vietnam. Now it is our turn to stand for him. Joseph Edwin “Ed” Shaffer, Jr. Ed attended Ashland High School where he was a member of the Rifle Team. He was a great marksman throughout his high school years. After High School, Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was part of the 25th Infantry where he served as a gunner and sniper. Ed was also a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he was a member of the Rifle team. While at EKU he traveled the United States with the team and placed second in the nation.

Travel to Caniff Funeral Home, 528 Wheatley Rd, Ashland.
Flag line from 11-noon.
Final Salute and funeral at noon, and escort to KVCNE for committal service at 2 pm.
