Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to escort and stand for another fallen hero.
Jose Richard “JR” Gurule, age 65, a resident of Tomé, NM, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
He was a member of the Catholic Faith, and proudly served in the United States Army, 1968-1974, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Expert (Rifle 111-16) and the Good Conduct Medal.
Jose retired from ABF after 25 years of service, earning numerous safety awards, including two million miles accident free Driving award.
He was a member of the Teamster’s Union.
Jose loved camping, deer hunting and baseball. In his early years he was known as one of the best home run baseball hitters in Valencia County, and made many life-long friends.
He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and had a great passion for Harley motorcycles.
Jose also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
