[HR][/HR]ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor at the Memorial Service for CW2 Jose E. Lopez-Cobena, at 11:00AM, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Soldier’s Memorial Chapel, 6333 Martinez Street, Fort Carson, Colorado Springs.
CW2 Lopez-Cobena, age 40, had served in the US Army for nearly 20 years. He was assigned to the 2nd Infantry Brigade, 4th Infantry Division and was managing the Motor Pool at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba at the time of his death. He died of a non-combat drowning incident.
9:45AM – Stage at Gate 1, near the Flagpole
10:00AM – Mission Briefing
10:15AM – Depart for the Soldier’s Memorial Chapel to form Flag Line

Whether you ride or cage, please make sure your drivers license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance are all current. Riders must have a helmet, eye protection, over the ankle boots, full finger gloves, long pants and long sleeves. The Ride Captain can verify if a brightly colored vest is also required.
If you don’t have a security pass for Fort Carson, please plan to arrive in time to make a stop at the Visitors Center for a temporary entry pass. The Visitors Center is about 200 feet south of Gate 1.
