On August 6, 2010, USMC Staff Sergeant Johnny “Joey” Jones suffered a catastrophic injury while deployed in Afghanistan as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. The incident resulted in the loss of both of his legs above the knee, and severe damage to his right forearm and both wrists. Since his recovery, SSgt. Jones has dedicated himself to improving the lives of veterans and their families.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage held on the property, and remodeled SSgt. Jones’s house into a specially adapted, accessible smart home.On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will formally welcome USMC SSgt. Johnny “Joey” Jones home through its Smart Home program.
The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to Stand a flag line during the dedication and it will be our Honor to do so.
Keynote speaker will be retired NYFD Battalion Chief who lost twenty men on 9/11/2001.
