The family of John R. Nieves has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Sgt. Nieves joined the Army in 1962. He did his basic training in Fort Ord. He was Sgt. in charge of the firing range. He then went to New York as an MP. He then was stationed in Panama for 3 years as a jungle expert instructor. In 1967 he was sent to Vietnam for 1 year. There he was platoon Sgt. in the 1st Cav. Division 1st of the 7th. He received many medals including the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service. He was discharged in 1968. He’s was 100% disabled Vet and proud of his military service.
John enjoyed spending time with his family He enjoyed music, dancing, visiting the casinos, and Zumba.
John is survived by his wife Patricia, three daughters, two sisters, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage. Please ride/drive safely.
