John N. Cowart, II, Retired

John N. Cowart, II, served in the United States Army for 6 years, serving in Vietnam for 2 years, where he was a POW until he escaped through the jungle into a rice paddy, crossing through and into an area that had a US Army Field Hospital and was able to be rescued.  After healing, he served the remainder of his time with the Army in Germany being a mechanic and cook.  He returned to the US and tried to find work.  Then tried to reenlist in the Army, but had been out too long,  so he enlisted in the US Navy where he served 12 years as a cook serving in the Captains Quarters and Officers.

Brief: 8:45 AM, directions to the Algoma North cemetery will be given by the Ride Captain.  LARGE FLAG bikes are requested, please remain flexible as to the requirements of the mission.(SEMPER GUMBY).

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
