Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL

It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that Alabama and America has lost another true American hero.

The family of Seaman Apprentice John L. Snellgrove has requested the Patriot Guard to stand in honor of their loved one.

Mr. Snellgrove passed away at the age of 87.

Mr. Snellgrove served in WWII and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, and an Honorable Discharge. Other awards and commendations are unknown at this time.

This is a Flag line only service at the Committal Shelter at 11:00 am

His ashes will be placed in the columbarium at a later date.
