He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1962 to 1965. After 8 months military training as a Hercules Missile Crew member he was assigned to Battery A 3rd Missile Battalion 71st Artillery. He served 2 years and 3 months in Germany in the Geinsheim area. His unit provided the firing components in the missile defense of Western Germany. Specialist 4th Class Juba was honorably discharged in August 1965.
