SFC John H Ostman, Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to help honor Sargent First Class John H. Ostman. SFC Ostman served with honor a full career, retired, and was then requested to return to the US Army. He was a Counter Signal Intelligence Specialist and later served as a Signal Security Specialist Instructor. He served a total of 25 years before he was honorably discharged. SFC Ostman received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon. After his distinguished career, he then became a helicopter pilot and worked in the federal police and correctional/detention arenas. Survivors include his two step-sons and a step-daughter. Interment with Military Honors will be July 12, 2019 at Oak Grove Cemetery, following services.

BRIEFING: 9:15 AM. Required for riding in escort.
FLAG LINE: 9:30 AM – Beginning of service.
RESPECT LINE: at conclusion of service.
ESCORT: Following Respect Line to Oak Grove Cemetery, Royal, AR. About 6 miles.
Cages Welcome.
Please be well hydrated on arrival.
It is ok to eat snacks outside during the service.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

Michelle and I wish to pass on our sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero. We would like to thank this Hero for your service and sacrifice in the protection of our freedom. You will not be forgotten. We pray you rest in peace.
