The family of John Gillis has invited the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line to honor his service during his visitation and celebration of life service, please join us in paying our respects and final tribute. Mr Gillis was a US Army veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr Gillis was a life member and past commander of Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City as well as a life member of Fred G. O’Malley VFW Post 6190, Farmer City.

Mr Gillis’ son Tim Gillis is a fellow Patriot Guard Rider in Region 5. We can expect several riders from region 5 to join us in honoring Mr Gillis and his service to our country.

Visitation 1200 hrs (12:00 PM) May 14, 2016
Service 1400 hrs (2:00 PM)

Following the service we will escort Mr. Gillis to his final resting place In Arcola, IL with military rites accorded by American Legion Post 55. Honor Guard

The visitation and celebration of life will be at the American Legion Hall on Route 150.
Staging: 1030 hrs (10:30 AM)
Briefing: 1100 HRS (11:00 AM) Following the briefing we will establish our flag line awaiting the family.
