ABOUT THE MISSION:
John graduated from Duncanville High School in 1970 and then attended North Texas State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in recreation. Following his college graduation, John attended the Dallas Fire Academy where he began his career in service to the Dallas community. He worked at several fire stations as a paramedic and driver. During this time, he played in the Fireman’s Olympics on the Dallas Volleyball Team, took a shot at boxing with Jack Rhine, and became part of a family of wonderful firefighters. In 2008 he was honored with the Outstanding Service Award and later retired from Station 15 with 32 years of service.

Starting Time: 1030 We will stage at the church and assist the support person with the placement of the flags, if needed. The mission brief will be given then the riders will stand the flag line to welcome the family and friends of Mr. Wegley. Once the service begins, and at the direction of the ride captain, the flags will be retrieved and returned to the support vehicle where they will be furled and stowed. After the post mission brief, all riders will be dismissed.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
