The family of John G. Pickett have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a silent flag line in honor of his service to our country.

John was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA., served in the U.S. Navy and was a Boatswain 2nd class on D-Day on the beaches of Normandy.

John was a Mason and enjoyed gardening. Prior to his retirement in 1977 he was a barber in Detroit and worked just blocks from Olympia Stadium.
