The family of SP4 John Edmond Harrison has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. SP4 Harrison served his Country in the U.S. Army and performed duties as a Cook.
While in Vietnam, SP4 Harrison was assigned to Company C, 14th Engineer Battalion (combat). Upon completion of his military service, SP4 Harrison received an Honorable Discharge and awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal w/ 2 OS Bars, Expert Marksmanship Medal (M-14 & M-16) and a U.S. Army Commendation Medal w/ V Device for heroism in connection with military operations against hostile forces.
The U.S. Army Honor Guard will render military Honors.
Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and join us as we stand in silent Honor and Respect for our U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and his family.
Note: This is a two-part mission.
Part 1 is a funeral service in Port Charlotte, follow by an escort (approximately 45 miles) to Sarasota.
Part 2 is a committal service at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota.
Flag Bikes are strongly encouraged.
