John E. Cain
Phoenix, Arizona – 10-15-19


John E. Cain is a United States Army Veteran. John enlisted on June 20, 1946 and on Oct. 2, 1946 he shipped out for Japan. John served 18 months with the Military Occupation forces in Osaka, Japan. John’s MOS was Military Police. On May 19, 1947 John returned to the United States and on Dec. 19, 1947, John was honorably discharged having attained the rank of PFC. John was awarded WWII Victory Medal, M-1 Sharp Shooter Badge.In 1956 John joined the Goodyear, AZ police department. John became Chief of Police for Goodyear in 1961 and served as such until his retirement in 1974. Retirement wasn’t for John; he joined the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department in 1974 and served until his final retirement in 1994.
