ABOUT THE MISSION:

Boatswain Mate 1C Copeland proudly and honorably served in the U.S Navy aboard the U.S.S. Heywood during WWII and also served in Korea. He received C.O. Commendation for Marshall Gilbert Attack and Commendation from Secretary of Navy for Tarawa. He also served in the Army National Guard and was a Yazoo County Deputy Sheriff.
