ABOUT THE MISSION:

John was born on June 5, 1958 in Lawton Oklahoma to Harold and Setsuko Board. He joined the US Army in 1976 after graduating from Killen High School. He served in the army from 1976-1982. John met his wife when he was stationed in Brussels, Belgium. They were married on June 7, 1980 in Alexandria, VA. Upon discharge from the Army, they relocated to Texas, where he worked at the Texas Department of Corrections for two years and then joined the College Station Police Department. Officer Board is the longest tenured sworn officer for the department and served the College Station community and citizens for 33 years as a patrolman. He retired in August 2017.

Special Instructions:

Requesting Flag Bikes (ONLY) to be at Memorial Funeral Chapel located at 2901 Texas Avenue South in College Station. They are to escort officer John Board to the College Station City Cemetery. Flag bikes need to be there no later than 09:30am and departing the Funeral Home at 09:45am.
All other PGR members, please meet me at the College Station City Cemetery. We shall hold our Flags high and proud for Mr. Boards arrival.
