ABOUT THE MISSION:

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that we have lost a true American hero, LCDR John Andrews Landry, age 82. LCDR Landry’s family has graciously invited the Patriot Guard to escort him to his final resting place and stand a silent flag line during military honors.
LCDR Landry faithfully and honorably served in the United States Navy for over 21 Years and retired on 1 July 1981. He was a Vietnam veteran. His awards include the Air Medal Strike Flight (2), Navy Achievement Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/2stars, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Vietnam Service Medal w/Bronze Star, and several unit awards. The Patriot Guard will meet LCDR Landry, family, and friends at the Olive Baptist Church, New Warrington Campus, 103 W. Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola and escort them to Barrancas National Cemetery.

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection. This attire will be maintained always while riding aboard the base.
11:30 AM – Briefing for all riders
11:45 AM – KSU to NAS Pensacola Main Gate
12:30 AM – Honors Barrancas National Cemetery Site “B”
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

May family and friends find strength in acknowledgement that John Landry having served this nation honorably, was willing to sacrifice all that another might taste or maintain liberty and stood courageously where few dared tread and for such dedication to nation, duty, and service rendered, is so remembered and honored among patriots.
