The Family of Joel(Sarge)York have requested the presence of the PGR at his Memorial in Chandler and at his Services at Phoenix National Cemetery.

At the conclusion of the Memorial we will escort Sarge to The National Cemetery…

Our fellow PGR member, Joel ‘Sarge’ York. left this world in his sleep Tues night Sarge was a Vietnam Veteran with the Army 5th Special Forces Group (Green Beret) true American Patriot, Patriot Guard rider and Road Guard. Devoted husband, father, and friend to all.

Sarge served in the us Army from 1960 to 1969 then again 1982 to 91. Doing Vietnam tours 1965- to 1967.
He moved here from Minnesota 24 years ago and retired from the Post office in 2008.

Remember “A man never dies as long as his name is spoken”. I will remember him, speak his name and miss him.

Meet at the Visitors Center and then Move to the Designated shelter at the direction of the Flag person to form a Flag line and await the Procession.
